Wordle: Aggravation

I love playing Wordle, but sometimes it can be really aggravating! Do you ever start strong on a round of Wordle, certain you are going to solve it in the third round .. and then it all gets away from you because there are too many choices. Let me share a few of the more aggravating rounds I’ve had playing Wordle, starting with Monday’s STING … and I’m not going to even comment too much on how I felt like the victim of a STING (bad joke).

Wordle is the game that has been sweeping the Internet. With only one hand each day, players have six chances to guess the daily five-letter word. A green square indicates a correct letter in the correct spot and a yellow letter reveals a correct letter in a different spot. And then there are the little spoken-about Wordle tips. In fact, I’ve never seen one of them mentioned anywhere!

Evolution in the Workplace [Trends]

Evolution in the Workplace over the last two years has been immense. The trends that have emerged [Great Resignation, Great Renegotiation, Quiet Quitting, Quiet Firing, The Great Pushback and Overemployment] are issues we never considered before, or at least before the pandemic hit. Can you imagine telling your boss in 2019 that you wanted to work remotely and you didn’t really care what the company policy was? Several of these phenomena, #quietquitting #greatpushback #overemployment, are new to the workplace

The workplace has changed a lot over the last two years. Great Resignation, Great Renegotiation, Great Pushback, Quiet Quitting, Quiet Firing and Overemployment (which is not about your boss overworking you) are all changing the way the workplace is viewed. It is almost like employers and employees are renegotiating the employment contract or agreement, with both having changed expectations.

How long the phenomena of Great Resignation, Great Renegotiation, Great Pushback, Quiet Quitting, Quiet Firing and Overemployment impact the workplace remains to be seen. But,
at least for the current period, Great Resignation, Great Renegotiation, Great Pushback, Quiet Quitting, Quiet Firing and Overemployment are making an impact – even if it’s only to generate a lot of conversations and debates.

Wordle: Dealing with Three Vowels

Let’s talk about three vowels in a Wordle hand. This happens from time to time – and in fact, presented an odd scenario this week when playing Phoodle, a sister game to Wordle focused on food. In this unusual hand (or round, depending on what you call each Wordle game), I’ll share my thinking and then give you an opportunity to see if you would have guessed the answer quicker than I did.
